Aluminum silicate board, also known as aluminum aluminum silicate board, is an inorganic board made of quartz sand as raw material, melted and dried by high-speed rotation or electric furnace. It has good corrosion resistance, impact resistance, acid and alkali resistance, fire resistance and other characteristics.
According to their use can be divided into two categories:
One is for architectural decoration, and the other is for equipment. Generally, glass fiber reinforced materials, fiber reinforced cement and plastics are used as the main materials. Next, we will describe its application in detail.
1. Construction industry
In my country's construction market, aluminum silicate board and its products also have certain applications. It is widely used in the market of building facade decoration, roof decoration, outer wall and inner wall decoration, roof layering materials and so on.
2. Electric power industry
Aluminum silicate fireproof boards are used in coal-fired power plants. With the increasing demand for electricity in thermal power plants, more and more aluminum silicate boards are used in power equipment and control systems. It can not only effectively prevent fires caused by heat and steam pipes, but also improve its corrosion resistance and high temperature strength. Using it at the same time can effectively avoid a large amount of heat generated by the power equipment, thereby improving the operating efficiency.
3. Chemical industry
Aluminum silicate has low thermal conductivity and low water absorption. The thermal conductivity is only 10% of that of ordinary thermal insulation boards, which is 20 times higher than that of thermal insulation materials with the same thermal conductivity, and it does not contain moisture, so it can be used for high temperature equipment and instruments.
4. Aerospace Industry
The aerospace field is one of the most widely used fields of aluminum silicate board. Its material has excellent high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, high strength and wear resistance. It is used in spacecraft shells, bulletproof glass, radomes, and high-temperature aluminum silicates are also widely used in the aerospace industry, such as: aerospace instrument brackets, instrument frames, control rods, and valves.
5. Automobile manufacturing
Most of the traditional auto parts are made of metal materials, but the aluminum silicate sheet can reduce the weight of the parts. The automotive industry requires lighter weight, higher strength and larger size, which can be applied to different structural forms and can achieve greater deformation capacity. This trend has led to the widespread use of aluminum silicate sheets in the automotive industry.
E.g:
Aluminum silicate plates are mostly used on the bumper to reduce the weight of the car and reduce noise;
The inner wall of the engine cover is composed of high temperature resistant alkali-free glass fiber mat;
The roof cross member also uses aluminum silicate sheet as reinforcement;
The front pillar, rear pillar and door are all made of aluminum silicate plate;
The chassis is made of aluminum silicate board as a windproof board, which strengthens the connection strength and sealing performance between the chassis and the engine;
At the same time, it is also used in interior decoration to enhance the beauty of the interior of the car.
6. Electronics Industry
Because aluminum silicate board has the characteristics of high strength, low thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, high electrical conductivity, antistatic and so on, and has a service life of up to 30 years, it is widely used in electronics, semiconductor, chemical, mechanical equipment and other industries.
